Wardman Park Marriott Hotel

ShmooCon 2008 will take place on February 15-17th the Wardman Park Marriott Hotel in Downtown Washington D.C.. The Wardman Park is just minutes from the National Zoo, the Washington Monument, and enough museums to last a lifetime. Located within a short distance of the hotel is some of the city's best dining available.

In the past, parking has been upwards of $23 a day, so if you are local, just get a hotel room and save on the awful rush hour traffic! We have been told that we will have discounted parking rates, but we don't know what the discount is yet. Check back for more info!

Discounted Rooms

Room rate is set at (usd) $179/night for a single room. Call in reservations should simply be able to reference ShmooCon to get the discounted rate. Online reservations can be made at the special ShmooCon page at the Wardman Park website.

Travel

If you are flying into ShmooCon, be sure to fly into DCA if at all possible. While IAD and BWI are options, cab fares are quite a bit higher. If you fly into DCA, then a short ride on the Metro to the Woodley Park Metro Red line stop will get you to the conference.
