We know our ticket sales systems causes a lot of woes - trust us, we feel it too.  We've been working diligently since the last round of ticket sales to address the issues that popped up during that sales cycle.  In fact, we have rewritten a portion of the cart and are now at a point where we need your help.  We'd like your assistance in testing the new system.  

Tomorrow, Monday, December 19 at noon EST, we will be opening the reservation system for a special holiday bonus round of sales.  100 tickets will be up for grabs.  These are EXTRA tickets - and will not take away from the number of tickets being offered in the last round of sales.  And yes, these are REAL tickets for a real cost of $150.   If you get one, you get to come to ShmooCon.  

What's the catch?  Just that we're running this sales cycle as a test.  So if it breaks, please don't get angry at us - we need this information to help us make the best decision for the January sales.  If it breaks we'll need your feedback on the process and what, if any, errors you saw.  And while we reserve the right to nullify the round completely if things should break horribly, we do intend to honor any tickets that do get reserved before we might have to shut things down.

On the flip side - if it works those 100 tickets should all get reserved in less than a second.  If it works then we get to rest a bit easier for the next two weeks.  And while it may not be a perfect test, we'll still be able to collect enough information to help us tweak what needs tweaking.
